Santa's Magic Cookie Mix

Some of these recipes come from magazines. Most of them will be from the magazine Woman's World. This recipe is from this months issue w. Paula Deen on the cover.

Sorry about the glare.

"Who doesn't love big chocolate chip cookies? Here's a clever way to give someone special no fuss "homemade" cookies that they can whip up whenever they're craving that yummy, gooey goodness!" - Woman's World

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
32-oz. jars with lids
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tubes (1.94 oz. each) red and green M&M's minis, about 2/3 cup (I would just buy a bag of red and green mini M&Ms)
1 pkg. (3.1 oz) Sno-Caps candy
Whit cardstock and ribbon

  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and soda. In jar layer flour mixture, brown sugar, granulated sugar, M&M's and Sno-Caps; seal with lid.
  • Go to WomansWorldMag.com or email DearWW@WomansWorldMag.com for our ready to print gift tag. Or to make your tag:
  • On cardstock, make "Santa's Magic Cookie Mix" gift tag: "Preheat oven to 350 F. In large bowl, beat together 10 tbs, butter (melted, cooled), 2 eggs and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract. Stir in contents of jar until blended. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls, 2" apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 13-15 minutes or untill lightly golden. Makes a dozen large cookies. Enjoy! "
  • Punch hole in gift tag and thread ribbon through it. Tie around Jar.
